Simple remedies that help well with cough and sore throat

 Itching and dryness in the throat, pain when swallowing, cough, enlarged lymph nodes and inflamed mucous membrane are all symptoms of tonsillitis. Simple home remedies help to deal with them.


Tonsillitis occurs when the tonsils become inflamed, which may be the result of an infection that has entered the body. Its general symptoms are difficulty swallowing, cough and sore throat, fever.

Salt water. Salt has antibacterial properties that can neutralize bacteria. You can gargle with a seawater mixture to soothe inflamed tonsils, reduce sore throats, and reduce the number of bacteria in your mouth. To prepare the composition, dissolve a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water.


Apple cider vinegar. It has antimicrobial properties and is good for throat irrigation. Add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a cup of warm water and rinse your mouth.


Turmeric. Contains active plant compounds with anti-inflammatory properties. Thanks to them, turmeric can not only neutralize disease-causing pathogens, but also significantly reduce swelling. To treat inflammation and sore throat, add a teaspoon of turmeric powder to a cup of water or tea and drink the solution before going to bed.


Cinnamon. It is also rich in antioxidants that suppress the growth and spread of bacteria, reduce swelling of mucous membranes, and accelerate the body's recovery process. To manage coughs, sore throats and other symptoms of tonsillitis, add a cinnamon stick or a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to any herbal tea and drink at least twice a day.


Beet. The root vegetable contains a large amount of necessary vitamins and minerals that strengthen the immune system - vitamin C, folic acid, potassium, manganese. Its consumption can also help with the above-mentioned symptoms.
