Russian oil production neared an 11-month low due to Ukrainian drone attacks and flooding.
According to Bloomberg, the Russian Federation processed 5.22 million barrels of oil per day from April 11 to 17. That's about 10,000 barrels per day, or 0.2%, below the previous seven-day average.
Most of the main affected Russian facilities between April 11 and 17 operated at levels close to the previous weekly average, but this did not correct the negative trend.
Overall, Russian refineries averaged about 5.23 million barrels per day in April: this is the lowest level since last May. Due to the attacks on the refinery, Russia was even forced to turn to Kazakhstan with a request to provide it with 100,000 tons of gasoline.
THE STOP OF THE ORSK REFINERY - WHAT IS KNOWN
We will remind, on April 5 in the Russian city of Orsk, located in the Orenburg region, a dam burst, due to which the local authorities were forced to start evacuating the population.
Due to the breach of the dam, the Orsk Refinery - one of the main oil refineries in Russia - was affected. He was forced to stop his work in order to avoid environmental risks and to comply with safety techniques. It was later reported that the refinery resumed fuel production.
