Several daily habits can lead to erectile dysfunction in men, warned Professor Geoff Hackett.
Habits that destroy sexual life, he mentioned in a conversation with the Huffington Post, informs UAINFO.org.
As Hackett told, men's health is significantly affected by love of fatty food.
"Unhealthy food clogs the arteries, which leads to atherosclerosis. "Vessels narrow, blood flow to the penis decreases, so it becomes difficult to achieve an erection," he explained.
Also, he continued, love of sweets and alcohol can lead to erectile dysfunction.
"Alcohol increases blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and lowers testosterone levels. This can lead to erectile dysfunction, decreased sex drive and difficulty reaching orgasm,” Hackett said.
In addition, the professor warned, potency is negatively affected by smoking, as it impairs blood circulation in small vessels.
He called stress another negative factor: during stress, the level of the hormone adrenaline increases, and sex hormones, especially testosterone, are produced worse, the professor explained.
