US President Biden announced a possible Iranian attack on Israel in the near future and confirmed US support
Amid the possible intensification of conflict in the Middle East, especially after the attack on an Iranian diplomatic facility in Syria, where three Iranian generals were killed, the United States is increasing its military presence in the region.
Additional assets have been sent to bolster deterrence and ensure the security of U.S. forces, President Joe Biden confirmed during a White House news conference.
He expressed the expectation that an Iranian attack on Israel could occur in the near future.
Biden also emphasized US readiness to defend Israel, while noting that the US military does not see the threat of attacks on its soldiers.
The President said the US is actively monitoring the situation and receiving updated information from the national security team.
In anticipation of an Iranian attack on Israel, the Pentagon has strengthened air defenses in Iraq and Syria to protect American troops.
Asked by reporters about his message to Iran, Biden responded briefly, "Don't," underscoring the U.S. commitment to defending its ally and the desire to prevent further escalation.
In turn, Brigadier General Daniel Hagari announced Israel's full readiness to defend itself and respond to any threats, noting the strengthening of cooperation with the US armed forces to increase the country's defense capabilities.
