The official representative of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, said that the country remains on high alert for a potential attack by Iran, reports The Times of Israel.
"We are in a state of combat readiness and are ready for various scenarios, we are constantly assessing the situation. We are ready to attack and defend, using various capabilities that the IDF possesses, and we are also ready to cooperate with our strategic partners," he said.
Hagari also reported that the head of the US Central Command, General Michael Kurilla, arrived in Israel to conduct an assessment of "security challenges in the region" with IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi.
"Our strategic relations with the US armed forces are strong and close," the IDF representative emphasized.
According to Hagari, "an attack from Iranian territory would be a clear proof of Iran's intentions to escalate the situation in the Middle East and stop hiding behind proxy forces."
