Iran is ready to bomb Israel

On Wednesday evening, following Bloomberg reports that Iran would begin bombing Israel in the coming days, German airline Lufthansa suspended flights to and from Tehran. Bloomberg referred to sources in American intelligence, but a little later the US President publicly announced the threat of an attack on Israel from Iran and its proxies. According to Biden, in the event of an attack by Iran, American support for Israel will be “iron.” In Tehran, a retaliatory strike against Israel for the Israeli bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus was also publicly announced. Here, the likelihood of a major war between Israel and Iran is assessed by orientalist Nikita Smagin (spoiler: Tehran cannot help but answer, but a direct war with Israel is not beneficial for it, because Israel is stronger - accordingly, proxies will most likely fight).

Against this background, the chairman of the Hamas Politburo, Ismail Haniyeh, said that three of his sons were killed as a result of an Israeli strike on the Gaza Strip. According to CNN, during new truce negotiations in the Gaza Strip, Hamas said it would not be able to find 40 Israeli hostages for exchange who were either women or elderly, sick or wounded men - such criteria were proposed by Israel. Here's a look at the war on Hamas over the past week.
