In Great Britain, the police arrested a man who had been hiding from justice for 27 years

Richard Burroughs, 80, who fled to Thailand, was eventually found and arrested by British police at Heathrow Airport. During all this time, he avoided meeting with justice and is suspected of cruel treatment of minors even from 1969 to 1981.

The crimes are believed to have taken place at children's homes in Cheshire and the West Midlands.

The man declared in court that he is innocent and denies all the charges brought against him in 1997.

Richard Burroughs is currently in custody.
