Candidate of medical sciences, endocrinologist told about a simple way to improve health and avoid such dangerous problems as the risk of developing cancer and stroke. According to the specialist, riding a bicycle three times a week for half an hour is a huge health benefit.


"Just 30 minutes of cycling three times a week can reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack and even cancer," the doctor explained, referring to the results of a large-scale study involving men aged 27-54. All subjects had previously suffered a heart attack. The scientists took their blood, measured their height, weight and waist circumference, and also offered to ride a bicycle three times a week for half an hour for three months, giving the body a load that provides three quarters of the maximum heart rate. Along with the load, the scientists also measured the heart activity parameters of each experiment participant, including blood pressure and pulse. Towards the end of the study, all participants again passed the necessary tests and blood. Scientists were amazed by the results.


"As it turned out, the level of good cholesterol increased by 23% in people, and the overall cholesterol and lipid profile significantly improved. For most people, this will be enough to return to normal cholesterol levels and even leave the risk group for atherosclerosis. However, the 45% decrease in estradiol level is most impressive," Pavlova said.


According to her, scientists consider estradiol in the body of men to be an oncological marker - a signal of an increased risk of developing cancer. "In general, pedaling will increase your life expectancy," the doctor concluded.
