Thus, on April 4, the United States introduced new sanctions against the shipping company Oceanlink Maritime DMCC and its vessels, referring to its role in the delivery of goods on behalf of the Iranian military. The list of restricted vessels includes three gasoline tankers and one oil tanker.
One of the sanctioned objects was the large oil tanker Anthea. According to journalists, at the end of March, about 200,000 metric tons of Russian Urals crude oil was loaded onto the ship in Laconic Bay near Greece. It is reported that the tanker has been anchored in the Suez Canal since the beginning of April.
In addition, the ship Elsa, which was also under sanctions, in March took on board fuel oil with a total volume of about 100,000 tons, delivered from the Russian ports of St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga. Elsa is currently anchored off Singapore.
According to the agency, 100,000 tons of fuel oil was loaded onto another sanctioned vessel Hebe in the Russian ports of St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga. The article states that the Hebe is heading towards the Suez Canal, but the final destination is still unknown.
According to journalists, the fourth sanctioned Baxter vessel was loaded with oil and headed for India. Baxter has been drifting in the Arabian Sea since April 5.
