The destruction of the Iranian consulate in Syria, which killed dozens of high-ranking Iranian officials and generals, risks escalating into a major war in the region. "Previously, high-ranking officials of Iran stated that their country already has every right to respond to Israel's attack on their consulate," the publication writes, citing Middle Eastern media.
The Lebanese pan-Arab satellite news channel Al Mayadeen reported that Tehran is planning a combined attack with a "rain" of drones and missiles launched from its bases on strategic targets in Israel.
