Hurricanes are raging in many regions of the United States, bad weather has affected 50 million residents

In the central and eastern states of the United States, a powerful storm swept through on Tuesday, destroying buildings, downing trees and causing widespread power outages.

As reported by Ukrinform with reference to US Today, the US National Weather Service has warned about fifty million people about bad weather that can lead to floods, prolonged tornadoes and hail and snow.

Areas in the Ohio and Tennessee river valleys are most at risk.

More than 100,000 households in Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee are already without power.

The storm is spreading from west to east. Over the weekend, large hail fell in the Midwest, and downpours in southern California led to the collapse of a freeway. As it moves east, the storm is gaining strength.

A tornado damaged roofs and downed trees and power poles in Oklahoma and Indiana on Monday night.

In the Midwest and Northeast of the country, particularly in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and New York, heavy snowfall is predicted.
