Germany calls for strengthening sanctions against unmanned Iran technologies

German Foreign Minister Annalen Berb called the European Union to strengthen sanctions against Iran's unmanned technologies after a massive attack on Israel.

The statement of the German minister is given by DW, reports "European Truth".

The EU has imposed sanctions in December in response to what Iran produces drones that Russia uses in the war in Ukraine.

"In late autumn, I, together with France and other partners in the European Union, advocated that this regime of sanctions on unmanned technologies is expanded ... I hope that we can now finally take this step together," Berbb said.

The German Foreign Minister also added that he would go to Israel to discuss the ways of de -escalation of the situation.

Last weekend, Iran made a large -scale attack on Israel in response to Israeli strike on April 1, which destroyed Iran's diplomatic mission in Damascus and led to the death of Iranian generals.

According to Financial Times, the EU discusses new sanctions against Iran in response to the attack.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis said the day before that after the attack on Israel, the West should impose new sanctions against Iran.
