A few inexpensive products have proven to be the key to longevity

It's no secret that plant products have a whole range of useful properties. Experts told which of them can bring a person closer to longevity.

Many doctors recommend eating five servings of vegetables a day, writes Express. But few people know which vegetables are the most useful.

According to some experts, cruciferous vegetables are called "power plants" that have a unique ability to activate the body's natural detoxification system. Moreover, they are able to reduce the risk of cancer, thereby preventing early death.

"The cruciferous phytochemical sulforaphane was also found to protect the blood vessel wall from inflammatory signals that can lead to heart disease," said Cleveland Clinic doctors.

Among the most useful vegetables, they name broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower, Swiss chard, rutabaga, turnip and wasabi.
