They want to bring back the death penalty in Russia

In Russia, after the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Medvedev demanded the return of the death penalty.

He was supported by Russian officials, deputies and propagandists, Meduza reports.

"Terrorists understand only terror in response. No courts and investigations will help if force is not opposed to force, and deaths are total executions of terrorists and repression against their families," Putin's deputy chief terrorist Medvedev wrote in Telegram.

Serhii Mironov, the leader of the "Just Russia" parliamentary party, also reacted: "I am convinced that the death penalty should be introduced for such inhumans who commit terrorist acts. They do not deserve a place on our planet and must be held accountable for their crimes."

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security, Yuriy Afonin, noted: "It is necessary to consider both the law enforcement practice and the change in legislation. Within the framework of the criminal legislation, when it comes to terrorism and killing people, it is necessary to return the death penalty"

State Duma deputy from "United Russia" Viktor Vodolatsky emphasized: "For these worthless bastards who committed shootings that caused the death of innocent people and their customers, the death penalty must be reinstated."

Natalia Poklonska, adviser to the Prosecutor General of Russia, took up the idea: "Without a statute of limitations and the right to pardon. For such, only the death penalty is true."

TNT director Tina Kandelaki recalled the former: "In Soviet times, there was a great practice, and it's a pity that there is no death penalty now. For such enemies, only the highest measure of punishment is execution."

In Russia, a moratorium on her execution was introduced in 1997. The head of the Constitutional Court (SC) of Russia, Valery Zorkin, said that in 2022, the return of the death penalty in Russia is possible only after the Constitution is changed.
