Initially, the US Embassy in Russia published information on its website that "extremists are planning to attack large gatherings" in the Russian capital, Moscow.

"The embassy is monitoring reports that extremists are planning to attack large gatherings in Moscow, including concerts. US citizens are advised to avoid mass gatherings for the next 48 hours," the statement said.

Also, Americans in Russia are advised not only to avoid gatherings of people, but also to follow the information in the local mass media.

Later, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain also published a warning for Britons who are on the territory of the Russian Federation. They were advised to leave the country if possible. And those citizens who were only going to the Russian Federation are advised to refuse the trip.
