In Russia, a powerful explosion occurred at the CHP plant: some of the victims are in serious condition

 Russia was restless at night. In the Republic of Tuva, there was a powerful explosion at the thermal power plant, as a result of which at least 18 people were injured. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

According to published information, the explosion occurred at the Shagonarskaya thermal power plant.

"As a result of the explosion, there are victims: 18 people were hospitalized, a third of them are in a serious condition. 21 people replaced them that day - a search is underway for three more employees under the rubble," the message says.

What caused the explosion is currently unknown.

The Ministry of Energy also added that as a result of an emergency at the CHP, the city of Shagonar was left without heating, where a 16-degree frost is currently observed.

"At this moment, the central heating in the city of Shagonar, where the incident took place, is turned off due to emergency and restoration work. Meanwhile, the air temperature in Shagonar has dropped to -16 degrees," the message reads.
