Scientists have named products that reduce the risk of mental disorders

 Many foods can reduce the risk of serious diseases and improve a person's well-being. At the same time, some of them have a positive effect not only on physical, but also on mental health.


In the course of the study, experts identified three "pillars of health" that can improve people's mental well-being. Among them are sufficient sleep, physical activity and consumption of raw fruits and vegetables.


1,100 people participated in the study. Those who ate servings of raw fruits or vegetables daily reported feeling better.


However, those who hardly ate these foods, or ate them in large quantities, reported the opposite effect and worsening of their condition. In this regard, experts emphasize, it is very important to monitor the amount of products used and not abuse them.


Scientists also remind that an important aspect of improving mental health is the right amount of sleep. The study showed that those who slept 8 hours a day began to feel better.


And those who slept 9-10 hours a day reported a decrease in the level of depressive symptoms. At the same time, the quality of sleep is extremely important, as a good sleep that is not so long will have a better effect on the body than a long but bad sleep.
