Do you need to eat soups? The answer of a gastroenterologist

Everyone is familiar with a variety of soups from childhood - borscht, buckwheat, vegetable soup, with dumplings. They are usually cooked in meat or vegetable broth. But are first courses really so useful and necessary for us?

Do you need to eat soup?

The doctor said that this is a matter of taste preferences of each family, but it is not a mandatory dish at all.

What are the requirements for first courses?

If you still cook the first, that is, the requirements for it:

Be sure to cook with high-quality fresh meat (veal, chicken, turkey, lean pork).

Be sure to drain the broth twice, because the meat may contain antibiotics, growth hormones, etc.

Soups should be thick, contain a lot of vegetables, eggs, sour cream, legumes.

Do not fry soups.

Be sure to serve another bowl of salad, because after all, these are liquid dishes and therefore will not provide "satiety" for a long time.

Serve with yesterday's bread, home-made crackers, it is especially suitable for mashed soups, be sure to try tomato soup, gazpacho, sometimes you can add lard to borscht, but in moderation.

Don't forget the fish chowder, my family loves salmon soup with cream.

Soups are delicious, but not necessary for a balanced diet
