The active actions of Russian volunteers in the Belgorod and Kursk regions forces the Russian command to transfer forces from the front line to the defense of Belgorod.
Bloomberg writes about this, citing an anonymous source close to the Kremlin.
The publication's interlocutor said that the war continues on Russian territory. However, despite the war and attacks on Belgorod, the majority of city residents continue to support Putin.
The publication recalled that in recent weeks, Russian regions, including the Belgorod and Kursk regions, have faced attacks from drones and missiles. Ukraine also continues to carry out a campaign focused on infrastructure and industrial facilities, including oil refineries and warehouses.
At the same time, Russia's border regions faced ground attacks from Russian rebels—the Russian Volunteer Corps, the Siberian Battalion, and the Russian Freedom Legion.
