IAEA chief Rafael Grossi told a meeting of the UN Security Council in New York that the Iranian government told IAEA inspectors that all nuclear facilities the agency inspects daily were closed on Sunday "for security reasons."
The facilities were scheduled to reopen on Monday. However, Grossi said he had decided not to send the inspectors back until the situation was "absolutely calm".
Following an attack by Iran with more than 300 drones and missiles, Israel is discussing a retaliatory strike. It is assumed that one of the possible scenarios could be an attack against Iranian nuclear facilities.
