Great Flood: Russia continues to go under water

Russia continues to go under water due to floods, in particular, the situation is difficult in the Tyumen region. The Abatsky district was flooded there, and an emergency evacuation was announced in the village of Abatskoye and several other settlements.

About 8,000 people live in the village of Abatskoye, which is the administrative center of the district.

In the Abatsky district, the level of the Ishim River rose by 18 cm in six hours - to 1139 cm. The water continued to rise and soon near the Abatsky the water level in the river rose to 1204 cm, said the head of the district, Igor Vasiliev.

More than two dozen adjacent areas were flooded, the press service of the district administration reported.

Earlier it became known that in the Tyumen region the water level in the Ishim River rose by 140 centimeters per day - to 10.5 meters. This is a record figure over the past 27 years.
